Banker2baker has its roots in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We have been in business for over 8 years. Starting out as just a part-time passion of ours, it has since flourished into a full-fledged enterprise and we have since served thousands of customers for their special d, from royalties, politicians, socialites and celebrities alike.

Banker2baker was founded by Zulkiflee Mawan back in 2016. He was a banker at the Central Bank of Malaysia for 25 years. At 50, he decided he'd had enough of the corporate life and set his sights to pursue entrepreneurship. He opted for early retirement and never looked back. With no background in baking or culinary, he settled on a baking business. He set out to gain knowledge in all things cake at international and local cake artistry centres and culinary centres around the world such as the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, and Le Notre, in Paris, and the International Centre of Cake Artistry in Kuala Lumpur. Keen to further enhance his cake designs, he pursued the art of sugar flower making. He went on to learn with renowned sugar flower artists such as Winifred Kriste Cakes in Singapore and Naomi Yamamoto in Japan. Sugar flowers have since become our specialty.
